In as much as we at Toyota Negros Occidental take pride in every vehicle we sell and maintain, we also take responsibility for each one of them. The Warranty Service is an important obligation that TNO fulfills, to repair or replace any Toyota Genuine Spare Parts / Genuine Accessories that are found defective in material or workmanship (described under the Basic Warranty Coverage). As part of Toyota’s world-renowned standards, these warranty services are faithfully carried out by Toyota Negros Occidental and Toyota Negros Occidental Service Center.

Basic Warranty Coverage

Toyota warrants that it will either repair or replace any Toyota-supplied component part (limited thereto) that is found defective in material or workmanship under normal use within a period of 36 months or 100,000 kilometers, whichever comes first, except those items listed under “What is Not Covered.”

Genuine Accessories

3 years warranty if installed upon release of the new car. 6 months warranty if bought over the counter.

Genuine Spare Parts

3 years warranty upon release of the new car.

Labour Warranty

3 months or 5,000 km whichever comes first.

What is Covered?

Toyota supplied component part that is found defective in material or workmanship.

Separate Warranty Coverage

The following items specified below are covered for periods other than the Basic Warranty Coverage:

*Tires:

Tires are covered under a separate warranty condition provided by the tire manufacturer. In case of failure, Originally Equipped (OE) tires are covered for thirty-six (36) months or 100,000 kilometers, whichever comes first, and will be replaced based on the actual tire wear.

*Battery:

Battery is covered under a separate warranty condition provided by the battery manufacturer. In general, Originally Equipped (OE) battery is covered for twelve (12) months or 20,000 kilometers, whichever comes first, unless otherwise indicated on the separate battery warranty certificate provided with the vehicle, and shall be replaced with a locally supplied battery.

*Audio System:

Audio system is covered under a separate warranty coverage provided by the Audio Manufacturer. Please refer to the respective Audio System warranty certificate.

*Surface Rust and Paint Defects:

Surface rust and paint defects are covered under the Basic Warranty Coverage.

The surface rust and paint defects appearing on the rear deck floor panels of Pick-up and High-side Pick-up (HSPU) Models are covered for twelve (12) months or 20,000 kilometers, whichever comes first.

Other Warranty Provisions

*Warranty Application

This warranty is applicable to vehicles registered and normally operated locally within the Philippines, through Toyota Negros Occidental or Toyota Negros Occidental Service Center.

If you are touring or relocating to another country and a concern or complaint arises, please consult your local Toyota Dealer. Please note, however, that warranty service may not be provided by the local dealer because your Toyota vehicle may not comply with the regulatory and/or environmental requirements of such country.

*Free of Charge

Warranty repairs (parts and/or labor) will be performed by Toyota Negros Occidental or Toyota Negros Occidental Service Center, at no cost to the customers, except for any consumable items required.

*Fully Transferable

Warranty coverage is fully transferable to subsequent vehicle owners. Only the remaining unexpired portion of the warranty period will be taken over by the new owner.

What is not Covered?

  • 1: Factors beyond the Manufacturer’s Control
    • a: Repairs & adjustments required as a result of misuse (ie. racing, overloading, over revving, or similar improper usage), negligence, modification, alteration, tampering, disconnection, improper adjustment and accidents are not covered.
    • b: Repair by a non-authorized Toyota dealer or personnel, use of add-on parts/materials not supplied by Toyota and use of non-Toyota genuine parts are not covered.
    • c: Cosmetic or surface corrosion from stone chips or scratches in the paint is not covered.
    • d: Damages and/or surface corrosion problems due to the environment such as acid rain, airborne fall-out (chemicals, tree saps, etc.) salt, hail, windstorms, lightning, floods, other acts of nature, acts of terrorism, war and the like are not covered.
    • e: Damages arising from excessive use as a public utility franchised vehicle (ie. Taxi, shuttle Service, etc.) are not covered.
    • f: Radio and TVSS malfunction due to interferences in specific areas are not covered.
  • 2: Maintenance is at owner’s expense.
    • a: The labor, parts or lubricant cost of maintenance services such as engine tune-up, cooling system and fuel system cleaning, emission adjustments, carbon and sludge removal, brake and clutch adjustments, wheel alignment, tire balancing, and drive belt adjustment is at owner’s expense.
    • b: The replacement of normal maintenance parts such as spark plugs, distributor points, drive belts, lamp bulbs, fuses, filters, lubricants, worn brake pads, and lining or worn clutch linings and fluids at owner’s expense when they are replaced as maintenance service ordinarily required with vehicle use.
  • 3: Normal Noise, Vibration, and Deterioration
    Normal noise, vibration, wear, tear, and deterioration such as discoloration, fading, deformation of blur and fabric discoloration are not covered.
  • 4: Lack of Maintenance or Use of Wrong Fuel, Oil or Lubes.
    Repairs and adjustments caused by improper maintenance, lack of required maintenance, or the use of fluids other than the fluids recommended by Toyota.
  • 5: Altered Mileage
    Failure of a vehicle on which the odometer mileage has been altered or changed so that the vehicle mileage cannot be readily ascertained is not covered.
  • 6: Extra Expenses
    Incidental or consequential damages such as telephone calls, loss of time, inconvenience, commercial loss and towing are not covered.
